The ideal first date is an individual choice. For some, a midday espresso is particularly viable. You can get a decent feel for somebody in 20 minutes, and since you both most likely need to return to work, there's a pointed out end time if the date doesn't work out. Some favor dinner dates on the grounds that the augmented length can provide for you a deeper feeling of your date's identity. If you show up and your date looks in no way like his photo––and this does happen––don't run shouting for the passageway. The best thing you can do is be well mannered and keep the date short. You don't have to point it out. You know he doesn't look anything like his photograph; he knows he doesn't look anything like his photograph. There's no sense in putting him down.
